"As one who accepts the adage “I don’t know what I don’t know”, networking with fellow PRISM members has allowed me to simply know more about how to succeed in our industry."
PRISM INTERNATIONAL OPENS ANNUAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
PRISM International is pleased to announce that registration for their 31st Annual Conference, to be held on May 10-12 at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, Florida is now open. Registration is open to members and non-members of PRISM International and features industry education and networking in the areas of records and information management, confidential destruction, data protection and imaging and conversion services.
A new feature for 2011 is a special ForoLatinoAmericano to be held on May 9 and 10. All sessions at this forum will be conducted in Spanish. Attendees may register for the forum separately or as a part of the overall conference registration fee. The forum will include a tour of a records management facility in Miami, as well as access to the industry exhibition held in conjunction with the PRISM International Annual Conference. This is the first Latin American Forum held in conjunction with the PRISM International conference.
The conference will also feature body language expert Janine Driver who will help unravel the mystery of interpreting subtle signals associated with buying, objections or gaps in communication. Driver has appeared on numerous television programs and is the author of the book, “You Say More Than You Think: How to Use the New Body Language to Get What You Want”. Because non-verbal communication is such a critical part of sales, negotiation, and management you will not want to miss this session.
Compliance and regulatory issues remain a core interest of members of the industry. In particular, HIPAA has created a vast area of risk. With fines now applying to business associates and data breach costs skyrocketing to over $200 per person, per breach, business owners cannot afford to be unprepared when dealing with health care clients. The 2011 conference features several sessions that explore such critical areas of HIPAA preparedness as policy development, training and risk mitigation through special insurance products.
The 2011 conference features an industry-specific tradeshow dedicated to products and services used in the industry. An additional series of roundtable sessions provide a more in-depth view of how new products and services can help improve efficiency, manage risk and improve profitability. In addition the March issue of PRISM International’s magazine InFocus will provide a look at some of these products and services, as well as more information about the conference, exhibition and sessions.
PRISM International conferences are known for their social events. The 2011 Golf Tournament will feature a “Million Dollar Shootout” golf event. Opportunities for networking are provided throughout the conference and always represent substantial value as members share problems and solutions with each other.
